Spicer India was felicitated with the Design and Development award by Maruti Suzuki Limited for their high-performance Advantek model 160 axle and S1125 drive shaft designs used for Suzuki Carry, a small pickup vehicle manufactured by Maruti Suzuki Limited. This award was received by Mr. Mahendra Goyal, Managing Director, Spicer India, during the Annual Suppliers’ Meet held in New Delhi.

The award ceremony was a part of the 19th World Congress on Environment Management organised by the Institute of Directors at Hyderabad and attended by business leaders from across the world. The Golden Peacock award is a hallmark of excellence, both locally and globally, and receives ~1,000 applications across categories, every year.

Spicer India Private Limited was recognised as one of top 100 workplaces according to ‘The Best Companies to Work’ survey undertaken by the ‘Great Place to Work’ (GPTW) institute. Spicer India was ranked the 26th amongst the participants and the first in the auto component industry. The award ceremony was held at the ITC Grand Central, Mumbai. The rankings were a result of a comparative study of over 600 organisations participating from 20 industries, with the employee strength varying from less than 500 to more than 10,000.

Spicer India (Chakan plant) was recognised by Frost and Sullivan and the TERI Sustainability 4.0 team

Spicer India (Chakan plant) received the Certificate of Merit for Safety Excellence as a part of the Sustainability Awards given by Frost and Sullivan and the TERI Sustainability 4.0 team. The Chakan plant underwent a detailed site assessment audit during the month of March and scored 692 points out of 1,100. The top-six companies among a total of 32 participants were awarded the Certificate of Merit. The safety culture journey at the Pune plant started in 2011 and since then, the team members have constantly endeavoured to create and sustain a safe, clean and green environment.

Spicer India Private Limited (SIPL) was felicitated with the Special Contribution in Supply Chain Efficiency award by Volvo-Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV) during their suppliers’ meet at Indore. The award was recognition of the sincere efforts put in across levels by team SIPL towards emerging as the most preferred supplier for VECV. Mr. Mahendra Goyal (President and Managing Director), Mr. Ramneek Jain (Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer) and Mr. Kaushik Trivedi (Head – Business and Development) represented SIPL at the awards ceremony. While extending their commendations to the whole of Spicer team, the dignitaries said that an effective supply chain focuses on the outcomes and the external standards. Well-built supply chains improve margins, support expansion, drive positive consumer experiences and reduce operating costs. Determining the best way to move a product to its destination involves the processes of optimisation of order processing, receiving procedures, outbound schedules and reverse logistics.
