Expanding the company’s portfolio of power technologies and drive axles for electric and hybrid vehicles, Dana Incorporated introduced Spicer Electrified portfolio of fully integrated motor, control, and e-drive technologies that advance electric propulsion systems.
Dana Incorporated introduced the Spicer Electrified family of fully integrated motor, control, and e-drive technologies that advance electric propulsion systems for light-duty, commercial, and off-highway vehicles. Currently in production, the Spicer EV Drive for electric vans manages speed and torque from the e-motor to the wheels. Planned for launch in 2018, Dana’s new e-axles for electric transit buses and city delivery vehicles feature a fully integrated motor and gear box and leverage the company’s experience in chassis drivetrain applications. Dana is also working with automotive manufacturers to develop all-wheel-drive (AWD) e-axles that deliver superior performance, packaging, and reliability, while meeting customer demand for AWD functionality paired with traditional front-wheel-drive hybrids.
At Spicer India, we offer a complete line of light-duty, medium-duty, heavy-duty and special driveshaft products for every commercial vehicle application. As a world leader in driveshaft technology, our innovative and industry-leading products provide the most efficient, reliable and durable on-road performance.
Spicer India propshafts offer the widest range of angle options and torque capacities – from 400 to 35,000 Nm, enhancing performance and efficiency of the world’s largest and smallest vehicles. With one-, two- or three-piece configurations, joints, end-fittings, material and welding options, each propshaft can be customised to accommodate specific packaging requirements and design challenges. Delivering more torque in a smaller package, Spicer propshafts are precision-engineered to reduce the driveline weight, balanced expertly for a smoother and quieter ride.
