Over the past 25 years, Spicer India has developed into a leading supplier of axles, driveshafts, drivetrain products and genuine service parts. Spicer India Private Limited came about as a result of ANAND’s joint venture with Dana Incorporated, a global leader in the field of driveshaft and drivetrain components. This joint venture allows Spicer to make the most of the advanced engineering capabilities of SIPL and Dana engineers and develop world-class products.

Dana Holding Corporation, USA: Dana is a global supplier of axles, driveshafts, and structural sealing products, thermal management products as well as genuine service parts to >70 million vehicles annually. Based in Toledo, Ohio, the company employs ~22,500 people across 26 countries, with >50% its total revenue of US$7.6 billion coming from outside the US. Dana provides high-quality automotive products across four areas – tyre management, transmissions, structural sealing and thermal systems. With >14 technology centres strategically located throughout the world, Dana’s engineers use the superior resources at their disposal to develop, design, test and manufacture products that suit individual customer needs. This collaborative approach allows Dana to create everything from advanced single components to fully-integrated modular systems.

  • 1998:
    • Commenced exports from Jodalli plant
  • 1996:
    • Established Chakan plant (axles)
    • Introduced limited-slip differential and independent suspension front axles
    • Broke ground at Satara plant (driveshafts)
  • 1995:
    • Established Jodalli plant
    • Broke ground at Chakan plant
  • 2010:
    • Introduced lube-for-life universal joint kits for medium and heavy commercial vehicles
    • Introduced electric disconnect for TATA Aria
  • 2008:
    • Received the Best Supplier (Delivery) award from TATA Motors for axles and driveshafts
    • Offered the first Dana-designed banjo axle for TATA Ace 0.75T
    • Supplied rear axles (M205 Banjo) for Mahindra & Mahindra’s Xylo
  • 2007:
    • Established Pant Nagar plant
    • Begun supply of compact parts to European clients
    • Received validation for compact assembly at Satara plant
  • 2004:
    • Commenced supplies for production part approval process for General Motors from Satara and Chakan plants
    • Shifted project and started export-oriented unit at Jodalli plant
  • 2003:
    • Established export-oriented unit at Chakan plant
    • Started supplying components for JLR T6 programme at Chakan plant
    • Commenced supplies for production part approval process for Ford from Satara and Chakan plants

    • Completed one million hours of work without a lost-time case at Jodalli plant

    • Ensured QSB compliance for General Motors
