NABARD has been SNSF’s partner for promoting rural development through microfinance across Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh (M.P.)  Over the years spanning 2002 to 2008, SNSF’s Parwanoo (H.P.) unit brought together about 4000 women (200 SHGs) of Block Dharampur under the microfinance fold.

SNSF’s contribution in Dewas between the year 2000 and 2017 recognised by NABARD, the Foundation’s partner, on its 36th Foundation Day. SNSF Dewas has empowered over 3000 women by forming and creating bank linkages of 275 SHGs. Besides promoting microfinance and training the groups in about 18 different business ideas, the SNSF-NABARD’s Dewas partnership promoted financial inclusion and rural leadership. With 96 village level awareness programs on financial literacy covering a population of about 7000 and 10 training programs for SHG leaders being organized, residents were encouraged to open bank accounts and participate in in handicraft fairs such as the famous Surajkund Crafts Mela in Delhi NCR. Most recent of these efforts is project E-Shakti aimed at digitization of financial and other records of the SHGs.
