Project Prevention of Parent to Child Transmission (PPCT) of HIV/AIDS was a unique collaborative effort between SNSF, Parwanoo and Delhi based NGO MAMTA Health Institute for Mother and Child to curb the rapidly spreading HIV infection in early 2000s.

Awareness about PPCT of HIV/AIDS, which was practically absent in the target population, was raised to cover nearly 90% with establishment of 15 pressure groups, 167 community inducers and 15 village health committees. Couple testing for HIV/AIDS significantly increased because of the awareness efforts. Other maternal health indicators of attending antenatal and post-natal check-ups, institutional deliveries also got a major boost.
