Abhay Kumar, hailing from Saran District in Bihar, found his academic qualification of a B.Sc. quite inadequate to get him a well paying job. Desperate to acquire technical skills, he connected with Santosh Kumar Pandit, who he was told by common friends, had  undergone a few short term course, and was now working in Delhi in a well paying job.

Santosh shared his experience about the two-months JIVICA-MAST-KPA training that had led him to the beginning of a rewarding career. Immediately on completion of the course, he was hired by Kohler Technical Associates (KTA) at a monthly salary of Rs15,000. Encouraged by his positivity, Abhay immediately enrolled for the JIVICA-MAST-KPA course in plumbing. “Apart from regular technical training we also get an opportunity to learn on the job by fixing plumbing-related problems at different places such as Government schools and vocational centers. This gives us exposure to the real life situations that we may need to resolve after completing our training. The Life Skills and Spoken English classes have immensely improved my quality of life – being from a remote rural area, I was not aware about the behavioral aspects to present myself as a better workman.  I am very confident that after completing the course, I will be able to get a well paying job and the start to a long career. I look forward to being on my own feet and also financially supporting my family.
