Village Jhambulpada is located 50-55 kms from Nashik city in the Trimbakeshwar block. SNSF began work in this village in 2011 wherein the dry period in the village extended from 9-10 months in a year. A check dam with the support of SNSF, NGO Nashik Run Charitable Trust and the village residents reduced this period to 1-2 months in a year. From 2011 – 2017, multiple projects to promote water retention and thus increase availability throughout the year were conducted at Jhambulpada and other neighbouring villages. In 2018, SNSF drew pipeline from a well on the outskirts of the village to the village storage tank. Further the residents contributed and laid a network of pipelines throughout the village, fitted a pump and constructed tap posts at multiple locations in the village. Now water for drinking, cooking and other utility purposes is virtually available at every doorstep. Earlier women of this village had to spend 4-5 hours per day to fetch water for all their household needs. This has been reduced to half an hour and thus allowing them additional time for farming activity.
