To recruit eligible candidates from the disaster-affected communities, SNS Foundation joined hands with the CII Foundation and the Uttarakhand Skill Development Society. Representatives from both the CII Foundation and the Uttarakhand Skill Development Society were present during the launch of training programme. On behalf of ANAND, SNS Foundation committed to train 50 youth via the two-month-long Honda-certified two-wheeler technician programme. The responsibility of placing them on completion of the programme was undertaken by the CII Foundation. To execute the same, as guided by the Dana Anand India plant in Pantnagar, SNS Foundation got in touch with the CII Foundation in Uttarakhand. The training, boarding and lodging costs of the youth coming from different districts of Uttarakhand were borne by SNS Foundation out of ANAND Group’s earmarked contribution for this purpose.
