A moment of pride as Mando Automotive India Private Limited celebrated its 20th Annual Day on 4th October 2017. A cultural extravaganza was graced by Mrs. Anjali Singh, Executive Chairperson, ANAND Group, Mr. Jaisal Singh, Director, ANAND Supervisory Board and Mr. Mong Won Chung, Chairman, Halla Group. Also present were Mr. Il Mo Song, CEO, Mando Group, Mr. Se Joon Oh, Managing Director, Mando Automotive India Private Limited and Mr. Deepak Chopra, Group CEO, ANAND and other dignitaries from Halla and ANAND Group Chennai Hub Companies.
ANAND CY Myutec Automotive celebrated its 26th Annual Day in August 2018. It was a day to remember the past achievements and plan the way forward. The day started with fun events, team games, songs and dance. Mr. Rajeev Gera, COO & Sr. Vice President and Mr. Sudhir Srivastava, Plant Head felicitated employees for past achievements and excellence in Engineering, Sports, Quality, Human Resource, Operating Engineers and more.
The event concluded with a valedictory speech from Mr. Rajeev Gera on charting the future courses.
It was a fun filled family day as Mando India celebrated its 21st Annual day in September 2018. Mr. Sejoon Oh, Managing Director; Mr. S. Sarathi, Joint Managing Director; Mr. Cheol Woo Kim, Joint Managing Director; other senior management representatives, department heads and employees graced the occasion along with their respective families. Cultural programme by employees, dance performance by employee’s kids and other programme were enacted during the event. Long Service Awards were presented to employees, recognising their 10 years of association with the company.
Valeo Friction Materials India Pvt. Ltd. celebrated its 20th anniversary in September 2018 by organising a mega event called “Valeo Employee Fest”. The festivities saw participation from employees across all levels accompanied by their respective families, suppliers, customers and Valeo India Directors. All the employees were actively involved with great zeal and enthusiasm in conducting this anniversary. Around 600 peoples participated in this event and made it a big success.
The first half of the day began with participants being welcomed by traditional dance performances. The ceremony also had surprise offering for the kids in the form of a carnival, which was well received and much appreciated. This was followed by various cultural events by both external and internal performers. The second half of the day was marked by a felicitation programme. This ceremony was specially arranged to recognise and reward key employees for their long term services and special contributions to the company.

Institute Of Directors (IOD) organised India’s “28th World Congress on Leadership for BUSINESS EXCELLENCE & INNOVATION” and the Golden Peacock Awards Presentation Ceremony at Hotel St. Regis Dubai, (UAE).

Through the months of December, January and February, SNSF teams across locations of Nasik, Dewas, Jodalli, Chennai, Hosur and Pune conducted 2 days of personality development workshops for its MEDHAVI scholarship awardees.
During the workshops, the awardees, most of whom are in their 1st year of diploma engineering set their goals for 2020 to become ‘Good Working Engineers.’ The workshop followed a uniform pattern and encouraged the participants to reflect on their time management skills as they are going through many firsts in their lives – staying away from home in hostel accommodation, studying and appearing for exams in English language, being exposed to subjects like Engineering Drawing etc.
Secondly, the workshop tried to ingrain in the participants a ‘Never Give Up’ spirit as they are likely to face many challenges and obstacles in achieving their goal of 2020. The workshops also included interaction and presentations to representatives of donor ANAND Group companies for the MEDHAVI scholarship programme
On 3rd September 2018, Ms. Laura Kohler, Sr. Vice President HR ,Stewardship & Sustainability visited the Kohler Plumbing Academy (KPA), which is supported by SNS Foundation.
In the past 3 years, 250+ youth have been trained as plumbers at the KPA, with 71% getting placed in jobs. She felicitated toppers of recent plumbing training batches and had a one on one interaction with the alumni and employers of KPA. She thanked ANAND, Henkel and SNS Foundation for supporting the training programme.
SNS Foundation partners with American India Foundation to conduct Ability Based Livelihood Empowerment (ABLE) programme in Gurugram.
It focuses on skill development training and livelihood generation of youth with disabilities. 40 ABLE alumni students recently shared their experiences and received their course completion certificates during the graduation ceremony.
“Women entrepreneurs hold the key to our country’s success, they are not only creating income for themselves, but also creating employment opportunities for more women” – Mr. Giriraj Singh, MoS – Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises, GoI. On September 18th, Mr. Giriraj Singh congratulated 120 women from Varanasi, Rewari and Noida (40 each) on completion of their entrepreneurship training in apparel and garment under American India Foundation’s MAST + E (Market Aligned Skills Training + Entrepreneurship) programme.
MAST + E was sponsored by Goldman Sachs and was implemented through two key agencies – SNS Foundation at Rewari and Bharatiya Micro Credit at Varanasi and Noida. NIESBUD and IIM Lucknow’s Noida campus were technical partners in the programme.
