Uncovering of Book on Biodiversity Mapping at DAIPL-Chakan

It was a great opportunity of uncovering of book on Biodiversity mapping from the hands of Dana Global leadership, Mr. Byron Foster (BU Head – LVD), Mr. Chris Clark (Sr. VP Global Ops) & Ms. Lonnie Holmquist (VP Global Quality) in presence of Mr. Mahendra Goyal (MD-DAIPL), Mr. Naresh Moily (COO-DAIPL) & DAIPL team, on 5th March 2024 during their visit to India.

DAIPL Chakan, has taken steps to record and preserve biodiversity in the premises. The efforts of last almost 25 years of plantation and preserving biodiversity is documented as baseline mapping in year-long study conducted at the premises by involving experts.

The quantum of carbon that is biologically Sequestrated in the trees of premises and its yearly additional carbon Sequestration Potential is mapped as a part of study. The biodiversity documentation of the flora and fauna, both of which are vital components long term strategic
objectives of Dana connected with UNSGDs.

The study has given an outcome which has created a further step to increase biodiversity at the premises. The natural wealth is mapped for the biodiversity.

The study outlines:
A) Total No. of Species:
a. Plants :110 species
b. Birds : 50 (including 2 endangered species)
c. Butterflies : 35 (including 5 endangered species)
d. Reptiles : 04 (including 2 endangered species)
e. Mammals : 02 (including 1 endangered species)
B) Total Carbon Stored in trees @DAIPL Chakan campus is 69.69T with sequestration potential of 1.39 T/Year.

Additional efforts taken in 2023 are medicinal plantation and rose garden. The biological wealth of the premises is also displayed within the premises to increase awareness and connect with people.

This coffee table book will act as an inspiration for workplaces in the future to implement sustainable practices so that we can coexist harmoniously with the environment. Along with other initiatives, this will create a sustainable ecosystem that will support to promote the
enrichment of biodiversity and increased biological carbon sequestration in long run.

Customer Sustainability Award to Dana Anand

Dana Anand India (P) Ltd. (DAIPL) is recognized with prestigious “Sustainability Award” for outstanding contribution for year 23 under Mahindra Supplier Excellence Awards during annual Mahindra & Mahindra annual supplier meet in February 2024..

Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) is one of the key customers to Dana Anand India Pvt. Ltd. (DAIPL). M&M conducts annual supplier meet every year in which supplier representatives are participating.

DAIPL is driving various projects under Environmental Sustainability related to Energy and GHG, Water and Waste Management.

As a part of Dana’s sustainability targets, DAIPL’s major operations have solar roof top energy generation plants of 1.5 Mw capacity installed. Locations at Chakan and Jodalli are also using offsite generate solar energy. This has helped to offset the carbon emissions.
Apart from the energy and GHG, DAIPL has also implemented rainwater recharge projects at various locations.

This is one of the prestigious achievements for DAIPL as efforts of sustainability are recognized by esteemed customers like Mahindra and Mahindra.

In M&M’s annual supplier meet about 450 suppliers participated and DAIPL is awarded for sustainability among all suppliers.

The award was received by DAIPL Chairperson Mrs. Anjali Singh along with Mr. Mahendra Goyal – Managing Director and Mr. Kaushik Trivedi – Head Business Development – DAIPL

DAIPL will continue its journey on sustainability to contribute to achieve Dana’s sustainability targets of GHG reduction.

CII’s 5th next-gen e-mobility summit ’22

EVs can disrupt the mobility ecosystem and redefine urbanization for good, ANAND’s Executive Chairperson Anjali Singh said at CII’s 5th next-gen e-mobility summit ’22 which she just chaired. Giving her welcome remarks, she told the delegates that e-mobility “possesses immense positive bearing on the global economy” but for India to really drive the transition successfully for future generations, “it needs a structured road map, with timelines, processes, well-researched impact studies, bold initiatives, and robust investments in technological research.” ANAND is already at the vanguard of the e-mobility transition working with leading OEMs and new clean mobility players.

Record-breaking sales for Chakan and Satara

The Chakan and Satara facilities continued their run of record-breaking sales, leading to great celebrations. The plant head congratulated all employees on their efforts in achieving this milestone together. He also asked each employee to keep up the good work, to continue to maintain safety and quality norms so that this achievement can be repeated in the coming months

Annual INR 1000 CR Turnover Celebrations across MATS

We are absolutely delighted to share that MAHLE ANAND Thermal Systems (MATS) crossed an annual turnover of INR 1000 CR, FTY 2022. This is just one recognition of many successes to come because of each employee’s passion, performance, and enthusiasm. This milestone has been celebrated across all MATS plants. ANAND CY Myutec Automotive recently organises tree plantation drive

As part of their sustainability efforts, ANAND CY Myutec Automotive recently organised a tree plantation drive in the Indira Gandhi University, Meerpur, Rewari. Almost 2000 trees were planted by employees and students in the campus to promote carbon neutrality.

The team from Monitou France, currently in India to explore new business opportunities, visited the MAHLE ANAND Filter Systems, Khandsa plant, which is one of its suppliers for various components. The team was very impressed with the company’s state-of-the-art R&D lab as well as its design and development capabilities.
