MAHLE ANAND Thermal Systems Private Limited (MATS), established in 1997, is a joint venture between the ANAND Group and MAHLE GmbH, Germany. A leading provider of thermal management solutions, MATS manufactures advanced automotive air conditioning and engine cooling systems that comply with stringent global emission and performance standards. The company serves leading automotive OEMs across India through its manufacturing facilities in NOIDA (Delhi NCR), Sanand (Gujarat), Chakan (Maharashtra) and Chengalpattu (Tamil Nadu).
MATS aligns its community development initiatives with eight United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs):

Since 2014, MATS has partnered with SNS Foundation (SNSF) to advance initiatives focused on education, skill development, women’s empowerment, sustainable livelihoods and environmental sustainability in communities surrounding its manufacturing locations.
MATS supports educational initiatives that improve learning outcomes, strengthen school infrastructure and expand access to quality education for children and young people. Across government schools in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, the company works to create more conducive learning environments through academic support, infrastructure development and student enrichment programmes.
The company also supports higher education initiatives, including the development of an Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Laboratory at Government Polytechnic, Pune, Maharashtra helping equip students with future-ready technical skills.

Through the MEDHAVI Scholarship Programme, MATS helps young women from economically disadvantaged families pursue diploma programmes in engineering and build successful careers in manufacturing and technology.

MATS supports vocational training programmes designed to equip youth and women with industry-relevant skills and pathways to sustainable livelihoods. Programmes are delivered in partnership with leading institutions and industry partners to enhance employability and self-employment opportunities.

MATS supports women’s self-help groups (SHGs) through microfinance access, entrepreneurship training and capacity-building programmes. These initiatives help women establish and expand income-generating enterprises while strengthening financial independence.

MATS invests in initiatives that strengthen water conservation, groundwater recharge and renewable energy adoption. Through pond rejuvenation, rainwater harvesting and solar-powered community infrastructure, the company helps improve environmental resilience and access to natural resources.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, MATS supported local healthcare systems by providing medical equipment, safety gear and sanitation supplies to government health facilities serving rural communities.
