Faurecia Clean Mobility (FCM) is a joint venture between Faurecia Emission Control Technologies of France and ANAND Group. The company is a leading manufacturer of advanced emission control technologies and noise reduction systems for the automotive industry, helping vehicle manufacturers meet increasingly stringent environmental standards. A pioneer in innovation, FCM was the first Indian automotive component manufacturer to introduce spun mufflers and spun catalytic converters and continues to support cleaner mobility through products compliant with Euro V emission norms. The company operates manufacturing facilities in Pune, Maharashtra; Bengaluru, Karnataka and Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu, serving leading automotive OEMs in India and overseas markets.

FORVIA India supports the development of learning environments that enable children to thrive. Across government schools in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, the company has invested in school infrastructure, academic support and digital learning resources to enhance the quality of education and improve student outcomes.

Interventions have included remedial coaching, classroom infrastructure, drinking water facilities, digital learning tools and learning spaces that promote both academic achievement and holistic development.

  • More than 10 government schools supported across Pune, Maharashtra and Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu
  • Improved access to quality learning environments for thousands of students

Empowering Communities Through Livelihoods and Inclusion

FORVIA India supports initiatives that promote financial inclusion and expand livelihood opportunities for underserved communities. The company has facilitated the mobilisation of women into self-help groups, enabling access to microcredit and entrepreneurship opportunities.

The organisation also supports inclusion-focused programmes that improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities through access to mobility aids and community support.

Impact

  • More than 160 women mobilised into self-help groups and linked to livelihood opportunities
  • 300 persons with disabilities provided with wheelchairs, improving mobility and independence

Driving Environmental Sustainability and Climate Action

Environmental stewardship remains a key pillar of FORVIA India’s community initiatives. The company supports water conservation, renewable energy and ecological restoration projects that strengthen climate resilience while creating long-term environmental benefits.

This includes watershed development, pond rejuvenation, solar energy installations and large-scale afforestation activities that contribute to water security, clean energy adoption and biodiversity enhancement.

Impact

  • Watershed development initiatives increased rainwater storage capacity by 15.3 million litres
  • Annual groundwater recharge enhanced by approximately 40 million litres
  • More than 4,300 community members benefitted from improved water availability
  • Rural boarding school supported with solar energy infrastructure benefiting 150 students
  • 2,000 indigenous trees planted to create an urban forest
  • Investments made toward the development of a 100-kW solar farm near Pune, Maharashtra
