Inspirational Journeys of ANAND Employees
Our Great Place to Work positioning for four successive years is manifested in various initiatives that strengthen our customer service and enhance our share of the customer’s wallet.
I started my Gabriel journey in 2001 in the maintenance function and have since worked in TPM, new product development, engaged in continuous improvement activities (ANAND Production System, Human Resources, SAP implementation, Visionary Small and Medium Enterprises, Innovation and now heading Central Technical Services (CTS)). My family says ‘There is “ANAND” in Gabriel’.
A proud moment was when I was recognised for a STEP Best Trainee award. In my 6 years at Gabriel, I am happy to see increased women’s empowerment. I can say with pride that Gabriel is the safest plant to work for women as Cell Leaders is high at the Company.
I started my career with the ANAND Group over 18 years ago. ANAND is different from other organisations because it nurtures internal talent, focuses on employee development and recognises achievement. One of its most unique aspects is that it encourages a balance between a professional set-up and family-like care by the management, along with strong bonding and respect amongst employees, even though we work for different entities within ANAND.
Reflecting on my career as AM Business Analyst to Vice President – Finance, I realise that it has been full of challenges and opportunities, all provided by ANAND. Learning exposure provided during the Visionary Leader for Manufacturing (VLFM) programme and the Oxford Advanced Management & Leadership Programme (OAMLP) has changed my thinking processes and this has also helped me to evolve as a person. Being part of the Anand Leadership Development Programme (ALDP) has helped me to build on my strengths and work towards areas of improvement.
