8 students of Anand School participated in National Science Congress organised by HIMCOSTE. The competition included a number of activities such as origami art, model making, maths olympiad and quiz. More than 90 schools from across the state participated in this competition and 2 students Mridul Sharma and Riya Singh (Class 8) from our school qualified for the district level whereas Mridul Sharma bagged the first prize in activity corner at state level. This was indeed an achievement for the school.

ANAND School children celebrate ‘Swachhata Pakhwada’ in Parwanoo
To mark the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of Nation, an array of activities was organised by ANAND School. Children took part in essay competition, debate, poster making, and plantation drive and also wrote letters to ‘Bapu’.
Various activities were carried out over a period of 15 days during which children showcased their creative skills by making posters and sketches based on the theme ‘Mahatma Gandhi’s life inspire me to…’ To raise awareness regarding cleanliness and hygiene conditions a rally was held by the senior children in which they distributed dustbins to local vendors of the town. Children pledged to be the leaders of clean India.
PM Modi holds Pariksha Pe Charcha
Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi holds a unique interaction where students, parents and teachers come together to discuss exams, life and more in New Delhi on January 29, 2019. Students from ANAND School were glued to the screen to watch the live show on ‘Pariksha Ki Baat Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ke Saath’. Nearly 2,000 students from across India participated in the event. Students from other parts of the globe joined in via live video-conference.
Prof. Shoji Shiba and Prof. Furuhashi Visit at ANAND School
Prof. Shoji Shiba and Prof. Furuhashi, International Experts of VLFM technique; associated with ANAND Group India visited ANAND School on 13th April, 2017 along with the management members Mr. C.S.Patel and Mr.Ratnam. Meeting such personalities was a real inspiration for the staff and students of the school.
Prizes at Painting Competition
Vanshika Bhanwra of our school qualified for the state level round and secured consolation prize in 8th State Level Painting Competition organized by Central Ground Water Board Dharamshala.
Student have fun activity at Winter Carnival
For the first time, we had Winter Carnival in our school premises. The entire ground buzzed with various activities; puppet show, magic show, tattoo art, candy floss, cartoons etc.
Students Explore the Post Office and Railway Station Administration
The youngest students of our school, i.e. Nursery and Kindergarten kids visited the Post Office while the students of Class 1-5 visited the Railway Station. At the Post Office, students explored the journey of a letter. They looked at how the letters were received and sent. While the students who went to Railway Station started out their trip with a train experience by sitting inside the compartments. Later they were shown how the train tracks and signals were operated. All in all, the students learnt a lot and their curiosity was satisfied.
Drawing Competition organized by Indian Oil Corporation
Indian Oil Corporation, Parwanoo unit organized a drawing competition. It was in two categories – juniors and seniors and the topic was – “Fuel Conservation”. This exercise was focused on increasing awareness in young minds for the national cause of conservation of fuel and environment protection. Anshika, Srijan and Ananya Sood bagged prizes in the junior category while Aditya, Shrey and Urvi from the senior category grabbed top spots.
Yatin Sahni of Class 10 and Aditya Chauhan of Class 9 have been selected in under sixteen cricket teams of HP from which Yatin is playing for Kangra district and Aditya is playing for Shimla district.
A Moment of Pride -Bharat Jano Quiz
Bharat Vikas Parishad Himachal Unit organised Bharat Jano Quiz and National Group Song Competition in Himgiri Temple, Sector-1, Parwanoo. The chief guest on the occasion was Dr.Vinod Kapil (ESI Parwanoo). The quiz was held in two categories i.e. juniors and seniors. About 10 teams from various schools participated in the competition and students of Anand School brought laurels by bagging third prize in junior category (Arshiya Lohat and Nampreet Brar) and first prize in senior category (Akshit Jamwal and Aditi Dehal). Students Sanya, Rimjhim, Stuti, Shrey, Divya, Parth, Urvi and Aastha stood second in the group song competition.
Brain storming hour with Live Olympiad 2017
Our students from different classes took part in science and maths Olympiad conducted by “Green Olympiad Foundation”. The students from classes 3-10 participated and won prizes and certificates of appreciation.
Ayaan Agarwal, Akshaj Garg, Aayushi Bhardwaj, Pragun Goyal, Divyansh Gupta, Arshiya Lohat, Rimjhim Mehta, Abhilasha Saxena, Gayatri Mehra, Anjan Gupta, Aastha Sharma and Tavisha Jindal were awarded certificates of appreciation.
Ruderansh Agnihotri, Vibudh Bhardwaj, Srijan Nath, Anshika Garg and Pankaj Sharma were given Watch and certificate.
Niharika Khosla being the star qualifier was awarded Tablet and GOF Champion certificate.
