SNS Foundation Gurugram celebrates Annual Day

SNS Foundation (SNSF) Gurugram celebrated its Annual Day for the year 2018-19. Batch toppers of the various skill development courses running at Gurugram were felicitated on the occasion. This included students from courses viz. 2-Wheeler Technician, Electrician, Plumbing, Apparel Construction and Designing, Beautician, Computers and Nursery Teachers’ Training. Through the medium of panel discussion students who have successfully completed training courses from SNSF and are gainfully engaged in jobs or enterprises of their own shared their experiences of personal and professional growth. Batch toppers from SNSF’s School Life Skills Programme were awarded and shared how training in life skills had helped them build their self-confidence and improve relationships with family and peers.

Students who been successful in competitive examinations conducted by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India expressed their gratitude towards the Foundation’s efforts in organising special coaching for them. As the event was centred around children and youth, the life stage wherein we forge the most precious bonds of friendship, a medley of Bollywood songs which celebrate this special relationship was presented by some students. Long serving SNSF staff members received their Long Service Awards from Mr. R.K.Jain, Chief Operating Officer, ANAND CY Myutec (ACYM). This memorable day closed with a ‘Fashion Show’ by the students of Foundation’s Apparel Construction and Designing courses. The students donned costumes designed by themselves and walked down the stage leaving the audience mesmerised. Annual Day 2018-19 became truly unforgettable with the participation of SNSF friends and partners – ANAND Group companies, NGOs, associates from HMSI and Kohler India and the employer fraternity to name a few.

Market Aligned Skills Training Programme

SNS Foundation Rewari which falls under the Foundation’s Gurugram operations has been executing American India Foundation’s (AIF) project named Market Aligned Skills Training (MAST) for last seven years. MAST –Rewari focusses on the skills training of youth, predominantly young girls and women (18-35 years) and facilitates livelihood opportunities through jobs and entrepreneurships.

On 28th March, MAST – Rewari observed its 7th Graduation Ceremony. Since its inception the programme has trained close to 2500 youth and ensured gainful engagement for almost 75% of the trainees. The day’s proceedings were enlivened by encouraging success stories which the graduating students shared in their own words. Joyful songs and dance performances further invigorated the atmosphere. The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Hanumant Rawat, Senior Advisor, Livelihoods, AIF.

Workshop on Capacity Building of NGOs

SNS Foundation (SNSF) Gurugram played host to National CSR Network’s (NCN) workshop on Capacity Building of NGOs. Some of the focus areas were: understanding the power of conversation, writing impactful project proposal, understanding the value of strategic networking and to identify and understand the specific elements of a resource mobilisation plan.

On this occasion, a session was conducted by Ms. Damayanti Bhowmik, Head of Operations, SNS Foundation on the various strategies adopted by the organisation over the last two decades to build its network of partners spread across central and state governments – Indian corporates, MNCs and multilateral organisations.

Dana Anand India celebrates Annual Day

Dana Anand India, Hosur and Pantnagar plants celebrated the company’s annual day. The celebrations were marked with many cultural programmes and performances by the employees.

At Pantnagar, children from SNSF partnered Government primary schools presented stage performances on ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ and ‘Traffic Rules’. The celebratory occasion at Hosur was graced by Mr. Mahendra Goyal, Managing Director and Mr. Naresh Moily, Chief Operating Officer of Dana Anand India along with Dana Anand India Aftermarket customer Mr. Maninder Singh, Partner, Bharat Industrial & Engineering Corporation, Andhra Pradesh.

Haldex Annual Family Get Together 2018

Haldex ANAND India hosted an “Annual Family Get Together” by organising some fun filled group events and cultural activities. The event was kicked off with the lightening of lamp by Mr. Deep C Anand, Chief Mentor, DCA Foundation. Other dignitaries included Mr. Sunil Kaul, Chairman, Haldex ANAND India; Mr. Binu Sivanathan, COO, Haldex ANAND India and Mr. Per Holmqvist, Director, Haldex AB.

Independence Day Celebrations

On Independence day, ANAND Group companies premises are decorated in the Indian flag tricolours, and celebrations held with flag hoisting, rendition of national anthem and cultural events.

Employees across all the Group companies along with their respective family members participate in fun events during the day.

Anchemco ANAND, Ansysco ANAND and Henkel ANAND India employees got together to collectively celebrate Independence Day at Parwanoo location. Dana Anand India Jodalli plant organised a blood donation camp to mark the Independence Day celebrations. Faurecia Clean Mobility Chennai plant celebrated the day at a senior citizen home near their manufacturing facility. ANAND Automotive, ANAND I-power, Haldex ANAND India and MAHLE ANAND Filter Systems also celebrated Independence Day by conducting various employee engagement activities in their respective premises.

ANAND cares for upkeep of Green Environment

ANAND Group companies are committed to environment friendly practices at all their respective plant locations. World Environment Day is always celebrated with gusto by the management and employees across the Group companies. Every year, on Environment Day, Group companies promote awareness and action for protection of the environment.

Adopting the theme from United Nation’s “Beat Plastic Pollution”, employees pledged to reduce, reuse and recycle plastic to the extent possible. The tree plantation initiative received active participation from employees across the Group companies.
