International Women’s Day marked worldwide on 8th March 2019 was celebrated across ANAND Group companies in a special way. ANAND Automotive and Haldex ANAND India organised cake cutting, distribution of chocolates and rose twigs to all women employees. An exclusive team lunch was arranged by Henkel ANAND India. Takata India recognised all women at workplaces for their efforts and hard work. Gabriel India organised a painting workshop ‘Anybody Can Paint’. Anchemco ANAND girls celebrated women’s day with underprivileged kids.
 
Chennai Hub companies celebrated the day collectively at Mando Automotive India plant through a wellness talk by Ms. Abiramika and Yoga sessions by Ms. Madhura Rajagopalan. Women harassment awareness programme was also conducted by NGO Disaikatti at CY Myutec ANAND. MAFS organised a guest lecture on balancing personal and professional goals, and a self-defence training session in Pune. Dana Anand India organised a motivational talk by RJ Smitha Dixit on challenges faced by working women.

The Aftermarket Annual Distributors’ Conference of Dana Anand India was hosted in Turkey this year. Distributors from all over India, senior management from Dana Anand India along with the Aftermarket team participated in this grand event. Mr. Mahendra Goyal, Managing Director, SIPL along with Mr. Tanuj Goyal, Head – Group Aftermarket, ANAND made their presence felt through video conferencing. Initiated in 2011, the conference is held every year with the objective to share past performance and readiness for the future. The channel partners appreciated the Electric Vehicle (EV) products, preparedness for 2019 and also assured their long standing support. Key channel partners were rewarded for their support during 2018.

Gabriel India (GIL) was proud co-sponsor of the fifth edition of “Pune Invitational Supercross” held at Koregaon Park, Pune in February 2019. The event was conducted in the form of a two-day carnival, which had a mix of three rounds of racing and plenty of music, arts and live performances by renowned DJs and bands at Pune. GIL also set up a stall and displayed its two wheeler and passenger car products range.
 
GIL has been a regular sponsor of the league for past few years. This year, it received good visibility with more than 1500 people visiting the stall.

Pune Hub celebrated the annual cultural fest ‘Rasarang 2019’ at Sentosa Resort, Pune. The theme of the event was ‘Retro’ with a focus on ANAND values. Employees from the Pune Hub companies of Federal-Mogul ANAND Sealings India, Gabriel India, MAFS, MATS and SIPL participated in the event with much enthusiasm and fervour. The cultural show put together by employees was mesmerising. Some of the employees were also recognised for their long service and association with the Group.

Dana Anand India participated in the Technology Day organised by Ashok Leyland (AL) in Chennai to showcase future advanced technologies and product portfolio in the Electric Vehicle (EV) and Low Carbon Vehicle segments. There was active participation by senior management representatives from Dana USA and TM4, a joint-venture between Dana Corporation and government-owned public utility Hydro-Québec, Canada.
 
System integrated solutions for drivelines in the EV segment were a major attraction and created a lot of interest at all levels in the AL management and generated promising leads.

CY Myutec ANAND (CYMA) celebrated its 11th Foundation Day at Grande Bay Resort Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu

On May 25^th, results of the entrance exam to prestigious Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV) 2019 were declared. JNV is a Government of India Sponsored Scheme. It is a system of alternate schools for gifted students in India belonging to low socio economic status. JNVs provide free, residential, English medium education to selected students from Class VI – XII. Almost every district in India has a JNV which admits only 80 students every year in Class VI. Throughout the year, SNSF conducts special coaching classes for meritorious students in its partner schools, preparing them for various state level and national level scholarship/competitive exams. This year four Class V students from SNSF partner government schools in Parwanoo, Satara, Dewas and Jawai made it to the selected list of JNVs in their respective districts. With this year’s results, SNSF has a total of 15 students who have made it to the selected list of JNVs.

On May 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th a series of medical camps were organised for residents of villages Bherwa, Jawandh and Sanwla. These three villages are in close proximity to SUJÁN The Serai. The camps are an expression of SUJÁN’s commitment towards the well-being of underprivileged communities in its vicinity. A total of 484 individuals attended the camps and availed free medical consultation from the qualified medical team. Necessary medicines were also made available at no cost to the attendees.
