Some of the items taught were developed out of waste materials such as used tyres. In addition to the technical sessions, the training programme also included motivational talks, discussions over successful women enterprises in India and on the most important aspect of marketing. With each passing day of the training programme, the participants showed greater interest and enthusiasm and refused to budge from their seats until they had perfected their products, unperturbed by the moving hands of the clock.
