Customers from all over India attended Dana Anand India’s Aftermarket Annual Distributors Conference for 2020, held in Goa on 3rd February 2020.
Mr. Mahendra Goyal, MD, SIPL and ANAND Executive Committee Member, inaugurated the conference. Mr. Naresh Moily, COO, and Mr. D. Prabakaran, GM Aftermarket, as well as other members of the Aftermarket team were also present at the event. The agenda focused on the Aftermarket business, the approach and actions to be taken in the future. Key channel partners received awards and were much appreciated for their support during 2019.

Inauguration of Valeo Line, Dana Anand India, Chakan plant
The inauguration of the Electric Vehicle Drive Head manufacturing line was held on 11th February 2020 at Dana Anand India’s Chakan plant. The line was formally launched by Mr. Kevin Lanet, Engineer Special Vehicle application from Valeo France, in the presence of Mr. Mahendra Goyal, MD, Dana Anand India and ANAND Executive Committee Member, Mr. Naresh Moily, COO, Dana Anand India, and Mr. Vasanth Saravanan, Sr. Manager, Methods/Process Engineering Valeo India.
MAHLE completes 100 successful years
MAHLE, one of the important joint venture partners of ANAND Group, completed 100 successful years of existence as a company in December 2019. It was officially founded on 1st December 1920 by 26-year-old Hermann Mahle, when he started working in Hellmuth Hirth’s workshop in Stuttgart, Germany. The worldwide celebrations marked the company’s journey from a small experimental workshop into a large global corporation. The occasion gave MAHLE ANAND Thermal Systems (MATS) and MAHLE ANAND Filter Systems (MAFS) a great opportunity to appreciate the performance and commitment of their respective employees, and to reaffirm the company’s focus on innovative strength and sustainability.
Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony
The Annual Prize Distribution ceremony, held at the SNSF partner school Government School, Ramnagar, was attended by Ms. Rubi Borah, Head HR, SIPL (North). Dana Anand India Private Limited supports SNSF Rudrapur under its CSR mandate. The chief guest, Block Education Officer, Mr. Matadeen Gautam, addressed the students as well as appreciated the ongoing infrastructure development work undertaken by SIPL and SNSF.
Republic Day Celebrations at Chalkewadi
The 71st Republic Day was celebrated at Chalkewadi’s government school, and attended by about 120-150 villagers. The festivities included a flag-hoisting ceremony and various cultural programmes presented by the students. All dances were choreographed by the village women. Developing Chalkewadi, near Satara, as a model village is a key initiative of SNSF.

SNSF Jodhalli enthusiastically celebrated its 5th Annual Day in the presence of chief guest, Mrs. Uma Basapur, Block Level Education Officer, Kalghatgi, as well as dignitaries from Dana Anand India Private Limited, principal supporters of SNSF Jodhalli.
Visit to Akshardham Temple Complex
In an endeavour to enrich their personalities both socially and culturally, the 29 MEDHAVI awardees of SNSF Gurugram pursuing their Diploma in Mech/Automobile Engg at Government Polytechnic, Manesar, were taken for an exploratory visit to the Akshardham Temple Complex, New Delhi. For most of the awardees, this was the first time they had travelled on the Delhi Metro.
SNSF Trustees’ Visit
SNSF Trustees Mr. C.S. Patel and Mr. P. Arul Kumar were joyously welcomed by students and village elders when they visited the upcoming model village of Rohile. The trustees interacted with the residents, including individual women entrepreneurs, on the benefits of the developmental tasks undertaken by SNSF and how they would take them forward under their own steam.
ABLE programme graduation ceremony
SNS Foundation’s skill development vertical began its engagement with persons with disabilities (PwD) in the year 2012. Recently it completed the training of its 500th youth candidate under the category of PwD and aims to cross the 600th mark by March 2020. In its endeavour of providing skills training and promoting livelihoods among PwD, it is supported by the American India Foundation (AIF).
In 2019-20, this partnership project of AIF and SNSF, titled ABLE or Ability Based Livelihood Empowerment has AT&T as its principal sponsor. On September 25th, it was a proud moment for the SNSF and AIF teams when the first graduation ceremony of ABLE graduates for the year 2019-20 was graced by senior dignitaries from AT&T India and the Asia Pacific – Mr. Arun Karna, Managing Director, AT&T India; Mr. Bernard Yee, Region President Asia Pacific, AT&T and Ms. Mary Beth Asher, Vice President, Asia Pacific, AT&T. The event was adorned with success stories of ABLE graduates who have defied various odds to earn their rightful place in society as well as of their parents who too have had their own share of struggles bringing up a child with disability. The guests enjoyed their interaction with ABLE graduates and with much keenness learnt some basic sign language. As is customary, the event drew to a close with national anthem in sign language.
ANAND Manufacturing Excellence Programme 2019
ANAND Manufacturing Excellence (AMX) programme for 2019 in mechatronics commenced at IIT Madras. The objective of the programme was to develop technical talent for leadership in engineering and design with focus on Industry 4.0, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and automation implementation challenges evolving through ANAND House of Quality Culture (AHQC). The batch has 10 participants from Anchemco ANAND, Haldex ANAND India, MAHLE ANAND Thermal Systems, Gabriel India and Dana Anand India. The programme with 4-course modules will run for 38 weeks, including six weeks of training at IIT Madras. The participants will execute multiple projects during this period, under the guidance of IIT professors and respective reporting managers.
