Gabriel India Ltd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with South Korean automotive technology company HL Klemove to tap the growing market for autonomous driving and automotive electronics in India. The partnership will focus on technologies such as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and other electronic solutions for vehicles.

Pune, August 26, 2026: Gabriel India Limited (GIL), the NSE listed flagship company of the $2.2+ billion auto components manufacturer ANAND Group, has entered into a strategic joint venture with South Korea-based HL Klemove, under which Gabriel India will become a strategic shareholder in HL Klemove India Private Limited. The partnership marks a significant step in Gabriel India’s strategy to expand its presence across high-growth automotive segments and participate in the growing demand for Autonomous Driving Solutions including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and Automotive Electronic Products through this joint venture. As India’s automotive industry advances toward smarter and safer mobility, Autonomous Driving and Automotive Electronics technologies are becoming increasingly important. HL Klemove is amongst a select group of companies globally with established development and manufacturing capabilities in autonomous driving technologies including ADAS and automotive electronic
technologies. With this joint venture company, Gabriel India will participate in this high-growth segment, enabling deeper engagement with automakers and broadening its presence in an evolving mobility landscape. To form the joint venture, Gabriel India Limited will acquire a 30 per cent less one share stake in HL Klemove India for US$98.44 million (approximately ₹935 crore). Gabriel India Limited will, through HL Klemove India, develop| manufacture| and sell| a range of advanced mobility solutions, including radar, front cameras, lidar, automated driving and parking control units, with embedded ADAS software, as well as automotive electronics products such as
brake ECUs, steering ECUs, chassis control units and torque sensors.

Chennai, Tamil Nadu, December 19, 2024: Inalfa Gabriel Sunroof Systems Private Limited (IGSS), a partnership between Inalfa Roof Systems and Gabriel India Limited, the listed flagship of the $2.2-billion ANAND Group, plans to set up new plants in India’s Western and Northern auto hubs to meet the rising demand for sunroofs.

The announcement was made this week by the ANAND Executive Chairperson, Mrs. Anjali Singh, at the first-year anniversary celebration of IGSS’s state-of-the-art facility on the outskirts of Chennai, which is reaching full capacity.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Singh, said: “To meet the rising demand for sunroofs due to the greater premiumisation of the auto sector, IGSS is looking to expand beyond Chennai to other auto hubs, namely the West and North.
We plan to be closer to our valued anchor customers across the country and cater to their needs more efficiently via this planned expansion.”

Mr. Jagdish Kumar, Chairman, IGSS, and Group CFO, ANAND Group, said: “Our first facility in Chennai is nearly operating at its full capacity, delivering high-quality sunroofs to our respected anchor customers Hyundai Motor India and Kia India. Notably, the plant has produced 130,000 sunroofs in just the 11 months of 2024.”
The sunroof market in India is experiencing robust growth, driven by increasing customer demand for premiumisation and SUVs, as well as the growing trend of driving for holidays on a significantly improved highway network. IGSS initially chose Tamil Nadu for the state’s investor-friendly policies.
The growth in the sunroof segment is enabled by the rising popularity of panoramic sunroofs, which offer expansive views and a sense of openness. Technological advancements, such as smart glass technology and electrically operated systems, are also contributing to the market’s expansion.

Mr. Kumar, speaking on the occasion, added: “With the sunroof market set to expand by 40% by 2029, IGSS is well-positioned to capitalise on the growing demand. The plan for new plants shows the commitment we have to continue to be the leading player in the sunroof sector.”

Uncovering of Book on Biodiversity Mapping at DAIPL-Chakan

It was a great opportunity of uncovering of book on Biodiversity mapping from the hands of Dana Global leadership, Mr. Byron Foster (BU Head – LVD), Mr. Chris Clark (Sr. VP Global Ops) & Ms. Lonnie Holmquist (VP Global Quality) in presence of Mr. Mahendra Goyal (MD-DAIPL), Mr. Naresh Moily (COO-DAIPL) & DAIPL team, on 5th March 2024 during their visit to India.

DAIPL Chakan, has taken steps to record and preserve biodiversity in the premises. The efforts of last almost 25 years of plantation and preserving biodiversity is documented as baseline mapping in year-long study conducted at the premises by involving experts.

The quantum of carbon that is biologically Sequestrated in the trees of premises and its yearly additional carbon Sequestration Potential is mapped as a part of study. The biodiversity documentation of the flora and fauna, both of which are vital components long term strategic
objectives of Dana connected with UNSGDs.

The study has given an outcome which has created a further step to increase biodiversity at the premises. The natural wealth is mapped for the biodiversity.

The study outlines:
A) Total No. of Species:
a. Plants :110 species
b. Birds : 50 (including 2 endangered species)
c. Butterflies : 35 (including 5 endangered species)
d. Reptiles : 04 (including 2 endangered species)
e. Mammals : 02 (including 1 endangered species)
B) Total Carbon Stored in trees @DAIPL Chakan campus is 69.69T with sequestration potential of 1.39 T/Year.

Additional efforts taken in 2023 are medicinal plantation and rose garden. The biological wealth of the premises is also displayed within the premises to increase awareness and connect with people.

This coffee table book will act as an inspiration for workplaces in the future to implement sustainable practices so that we can coexist harmoniously with the environment. Along with other initiatives, this will create a sustainable ecosystem that will support to promote the
enrichment of biodiversity and increased biological carbon sequestration in long run.

Customer Sustainability Award to Dana Anand

Dana Anand India (P) Ltd. (DAIPL) is recognized with prestigious “Sustainability Award” for outstanding contribution for year 23 under Mahindra Supplier Excellence Awards during annual Mahindra & Mahindra annual supplier meet in February 2024..

Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) is one of the key customers to Dana Anand India Pvt. Ltd. (DAIPL). M&M conducts annual supplier meet every year in which supplier representatives are participating.

DAIPL is driving various projects under Environmental Sustainability related to Energy and GHG, Water and Waste Management.

As a part of Dana’s sustainability targets, DAIPL’s major operations have solar roof top energy generation plants of 1.5 Mw capacity installed. Locations at Chakan and Jodalli are also using offsite generate solar energy. This has helped to offset the carbon emissions.
Apart from the energy and GHG, DAIPL has also implemented rainwater recharge projects at various locations.

This is one of the prestigious achievements for DAIPL as efforts of sustainability are recognized by esteemed customers like Mahindra and Mahindra.

In M&M’s annual supplier meet about 450 suppliers participated and DAIPL is awarded for sustainability among all suppliers.
