In another step towards environment-friendly manufacturing operations, the ANAND Group has activated the use of power supply from the newly commissioned solar plant at Akkalkot, Solapur. As part of the group’s commitment to achieve and strengthen carbon neutrality, the power generated by the captive solar plant is expected to neutralise nearly 30 per cent of the overall carbon generated by ANAND Group companies. This project was jointly executed along with Tata Power.

Corporate Business Development Meet
The business development teams of ANAND Group connected over a meet led by the group’s top leadership. The meet was presided over by Mr. Manoj Kolhatkar, Co-Chief Operating Officer and Member, ANAND Executive Board, along with Mr. S. Sarathi, Member, ANAND Executive Board. The leaders shared industry insights and expectations from the business development teams for taking the group’s business to new highs. Mr. Rajeev Gera, President, Business Development and Corporate Materials, ANAND Group, who was also present at the meet, encouraged the teams to emphasise customer-centricity and align with the group’s vision of being the most preferred supplier for the OEMs.

Senior executives from the purchase and sourcing functions of the ANAND Group got together for a brainstorming session to craft a group level synergy to deal with the recent volatility in the commodity market and logistical challenges. Mr. Rajeev Gera, President, Business Development and Corporate Materials, ANAND Group, chaired the session.
VDA audit for Diesel Exhaust Fluid business
Product quality leadership is imperative at Anchemco ANAND. To certify product quality and evaluate controls, a VDA audit for the company’s Diesel Exhaust Fluid business was untaken by Mr. Paul Burger from OPTINAVS. ‘Verband der Automobilindustrie’ or VDA, a German Quality Management System Standard for the automobile industry, is used to evaluate and improve manufacturing organisation controls. Mr. Dheeraj Bhushan, Vice President and Business Head, Anchemco ANAND, along with senior officials of the company, assisted in the audit process for ‘AdBlue’ product license.
Senior executives visit Pune plant
Mr. Milind Godbole, President, MAHLE India, and Jakob Ruemmler, Chief Financial Officer, India & Service Controlling Asia, MAHLE India, visited the Pune plant of MAHLE ANAND Filter Systems. The senior executives assessed the plant facilities and appreciated the improvement initiatives and developments.
Foundation Day
CY Myutec ANAND celebrated its 14th Foundation Day recently. Employees and their family members gathered to commemorate the event, which was further enlivened by performances by employees. This was also the time to felicitate employees who had done well under various categories.
Appreciation for social initiatives
The district administration of Solan, Himachal Pradesh, has applauded SNS Foundation for implementing several health improvement initiatives under the National Health Mission during 2021-22, including COVID vaccination camps for the migrants and transport workers. The SNS Foundation initiatives were implemented under the CSR mandate of MAHLE ANAND Filter Systems.
SNS Foundation aids upgrade of school infrastructure
As part of their CSR initiative, SNS Foundation, the CSR arm of the ANAND Group, and Mando Automotive India, an ANAND Group company, have assisted in the infrastructure upgrade of the government school in Katrambakkam, Tamil Nadu. The renovated school building was recently inaugurated by Ms. Prem Latha, Divisional Education Officer, Sriperumbudur. The upgraded infrastructure will attract more students to the school, enabling them to receive quality education.
Extending quality education
Panchayat Union Middle School in Pudhuper, Tamil Nadu, is one of the partner government schools of the SNS Foundation under the Mando Automotive India CSR programme. With a goal to extend quality education in government schools, aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4, a computer lab has been set up in the school. The lab will help impart digital knowledge to over 300 students at the school.
Empowering through education
A team from CY Myutec ANAND acknowledged 16 MEDHAVI scholarship students of Meenakshi Ammal Polytechnic College, Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, for successfully completing their internship at CY Myutec ANAND. SNS Foundation and CY Myutec ANAND jointly sponsored this programme as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility mandate. MEDHAVI Scholarship Programme, run by SNS Foundation, supports underprivileged matriculate girls keen to pursue a three-year diploma in engineering.
