Mr. S Sarathi

Mr. S. Sarathi is the Group President and Chief Assurance Officer of the ANAND Group. He is also a member of the ANAND Executive Board. Further, he is the Joint Managing Director of HL Mando ANAND India Private Limited (formerly known as Mando Automotive India Private Limited), a joint venture between ANAND and Mando Corporation, part of the HL Group, Republic of Korea.
As part of the matrix structure within the ANAND Executive Board, he is responsible for three Group companies: Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies India Private Limited; Inalfa Gabriel Sunroof Systems Private Limited; and Mahle ANAND Thermal Systems Private Limited. He also supports the respective Group Co-Chief Operating Officer in charge of these companies.
He is also a member of the ANAND Management Forum, which oversees operational issues for the Group.
Sarathi is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, and Company Secretary, and has successfully completed an advanced management course at Oxford University, UK.
He joined ANAND in 1997 as Financial Controller for ANAND’s emission products JV, Faurecia Emission Control Technologies India (formerly Arvin Exhaust India). Sarathi then worked as Financial Controller and Company Secretary of Gabriel India Limited from2001 to 2005 and contributed to the merger of Stallion Shox with Gabriel.
In 2005, he moved from the finance function at Gabriel to operations at Faurecia Emission Control Technologies India as its Chief Operating Officer. He then shifted to Spicer India Private Limited, ANAND’s JV with Dana, USA, in 2008, where he was made incharge of Drive Shaft Operations as Vice President till 2010, before becoming Chief Internal Auditor of ANAND.
Since then, he has been working at ANAND to strengthen the systems and internal controls at ANAND companies and has succeeded in transforming the internal audit processes and built a strong audit team.
Further, Sarathi is a member of the ANAND Ethics Committee and plays a key role in sensitising employees on the importance of ethical behavior. He is one of the Trustees
of the SNS Foundation, the CSR wing of the Group.
Additionally, he is also a member of other important boards and governing bodies such as the Board of the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation; the Body of Governors of Dr. Dharmabal Government Polytechnic, Tamil Nadu; the Governing Body of Centre of Excellence for Road Safety at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras; and a Member of the Manufacturing Committee of Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
