Mr. Jaisal Singh

Mr. Jaisal Singh is a Director of the Group Supervisory Board, the apex governing body of the ANAND Group. He sits on the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee as well as the Personnel Committee of the Board. He is the Vice Chairman of the ANAND Executive Board and the Chairman of the group’s Strategic Growth Council, including Mergers & Acquisitions. He is actively involved in overseeing key areas like governance, compliance and JV partner relationships.

Jaisal is also the Co- Chairman of the group’s largest company, Mando Automotive India (with a turnover of approx. USD 500 million). It is a joint venture between ANAND Group and Mando Corporation, part of the Halla Group, Republic of Korea.

Jaisal is an Author, Conservationist and Entrepreneur. He is the Founder and Chairman of SUJÁN, an experiential, responsible, positive impact hotel group with three award winning tented camps in India, which have consistently been rated among the best in the world for the past two decades.

Jaisal is also Vice-President and Member of the Executive Committee, global Board of Directors of Relais & Chateaux – the world’s most prestigious association of 580 independent hotels and restaurants across 67 countries covering 5 continents with 380 Michelin stars at last count. He has the distinction of being the youngest person, and the only Indian ever to be elected to that position and has been successfully running that position for the last 9 years. He also takes a keen interest in the philanthropic wing of his family enterprise – The SNS Foundation. He was recently appointed Patron of the Conscious Travel Foundation in the United Kingdom.

Jaisal is a Member of The Government of Rajasthan’s Standing Committee for Wildlife, and also the State Board for Wildlife, chaired by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. He is also a member of the Expert Committee on Tigers constituted by the Government of Rajasthan. In addition, he was also nominated as Special Invitee for the Punjab State Board for Wildlife, chaired by the Chief Minister of Punjab. He is a member of the Executive Board of The Ranthambhore Foundation, a conservation NGO that has worked to conserve the Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve, as well as wildlife across India since 1988.

Jaisal is a Member of the Managing Committee of The Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi, one of the country’s leading educational institutions. He is the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) Northern Region Committee on Tourism & Hospitality since 2022. He is also a member of CII National Committee on Tourism & Hospitality since 2022.

Jaisal is the author of four books: ‘Polo in India’ – a definitive history of the sport in India published by Roli Books, India and New Holland, UK; ‘Ranthambhore – The Tiger’s Realm’ along with Anjali Singh and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra; and JAWAI – Land of the Leopard’ along with Anjali Singh; The Magical Mara, a family safari, Published by SUJÁN Art.

He is a student of military history and his articles on the subject have been published in India’s mainstream newspapers like the Business Standard.

Jaisal is Chairman, Rules Committee, Indian Polo Association, the sport’s national governing body for 2020-21 and 2021-22. He is a keen Polo player who has played up to a handicap of +2 and has done so across the world. He was a member of the legendary ‘Jodhpur’ team from 1994 to 2005. He now fields his own team, the SUJÁN Indian Tigers which has already won a tournament at the World Cup level, and has seen success in both India as well as the United Kingdom in the past two years.
