Relay Emergency Valve
Published On: 16th January, 2018
Relay emergency valves are installed on towed vehicles to control trailer braking when coupled. This valve guarantees that trailer tanks are filled from the supply line (red), that the trailer brakes are applied when the control line (yellow) is pressurised and that emergency braking is applied in the event of a red line rupture. The ‘predominance’ device harmonises the braking of the towing vehicle and trailer.
