MAHLE ANAND Filter Systems Private Limited (MAFS) is a joint venture between the ANAND Group and MAHLE Filter Systems GmbH, Germany. A leading manufacturer of air, oil and fuel filtration solutions, the company serves the automotive industry through innovative and environmentally responsible technologies. With a legacy spanning more than five decades through the trusted Purolator brand, MAFS today operates manufacturing facilities in Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, and continues to advance filtration technologies through product innovation and patented solutions.

Through its partnership with SNS Foundation (SNSF), MAFS supports programmes focused on public health, education, skill development, women’s empowerment, sustainable livelihoods and renewable energy.

KEY INITIATIVES

Strengthening Community Health and Well-Being

MAFS supports large-scale public health programmes that improve awareness, prevention and access to healthcare services among vulnerable populations. Working with government and healthcare partners, the company has contributed to initiatives focused on HIV/AIDS awareness, tuberculosis screening, maternal healthcare and child health services, particularly among migrant communities and industrial workers.

These programmes help bridge healthcare gaps while promoting preventive care and healthier lifestyles.

Impact

  • More than 418,300 workers and community members reached through HIV/AIDS m awareness and health education programmes over the past decade
  • 113,000+ individuals screened for tuberculosis and linked to treatment services where
    required
  • 13,415 expectant mothers supported through maternal healthcare initiatives
  • Over 14,600 children benefitted from immunisation services

Promoting Skills for Employment

MAFS invests in industry-aligned skill development programmes that equip young people with practical capabilities and improve their employability. Delivered in collaboration with leading industry partners, these programmes provide hands-on training in technical trades and create pathways to employment in growing sectors.

The company continues to strengthen vocational training infrastructure and industry partnerships to ensure training remains relevant to evolving market needs.

  • Approximately 200 youth trained annually through industry-linked skill development programmes
  • Training delivered in partnership with leading industry organisations
  • Nearly 80% placement rate among programme graduates
  • Career opportunities created with starting salaries ranging from ₹8,500 to ₹30,000 per month

Advancing Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development

MAFS promotes clean energy solutions that benefit both communities and the environment. Through investments in solar energy infrastructure, the company supports essential public services while reducing carbon emissions and encouraging the adoption of renewable energy.

One such initiative powers the water supply and distribution system in Village Urawade near Pirangut, in Maharashtra demonstrating the role of clean energy in strengthening rural infrastructure.

Impact

  • 50 solar panels with a capacity of 27 kW installed
  • Reduction of approximately 24 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually
  • Reliable and sustainable power provided to the village water distribution system
  • Increased adoption of renewable energy in local communities
