Spicer India Limited was established in 1993 for the manufacture of axles, driveshafts and universal joints. The Company is a joint venture between Dana Corporation, USA, and Anand Automotive Systems . With a sales turnover exceeding US $ 9.5 billion, Dana is one of the world’s largest suppliers of automotive components, modules and complete systems to global vehicle manufacturers and their related after-markets. Headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, Dana operates 300 major facilities in 30 countries and employs nearly 60,000 people.

Spicer India has five facilities – an Axle plant in Chakan near Pune and three Driveshaft facilities which include the Component plant at Jodalli, the Driveshaft Assembly plant at Satara and the 100% export-oriented unit at Hosur. A recently set up plant in Pantnagar, is an axle and driveshaft assembly plant.Chakan and Jodalli plant also have an exclusive EOU Cell catering to Dana Corporation.

Other than the new facility at Pantnagar all plants are certified for ISO 14001 as well as OHSAS 18001 and are the first drivetrain plants in India to get the ISO/QS/TS 16949 Quality Management System certification.
