With the largest range of automotive components, the Group has a sales turnover of USD 700 Million, targeting to achieve $ 1 Billion by 2012.
In 1961, the Group started its operations with the establishment of Gabriel India, the Group's flagship Company in Mumbai for the manufacture of Shock Absorbers. Today, the Group comprises sixteen companies with 44 business units spread in nine states across the country. Its export, which currently accounts for 14% of the total sales, is targeted to reach 30% in next few years.
The Group firmly believes that business is 90% people and proudly asserts its key asset to be its dedicated workforce of 7500 people. Anand lays great emphasis on the development of its employees through training, conducted by its in-house technical and management institute - Anand 'U'.

Anand Automotive Limited (erstwhile Anand Corporate Services Ltd., established in 1975) comprises of a resource group of highly experienced senior executives and advisors providing comprehensive range of technical and management consultancy services to Group Companies in areas of market research, technology upgradation, quality improvement, manpower planning and hiring, training, business planning, finance, exports and legal matters.
Behr India Limited was set-up as a joint venture with Behr of Germany, a leading name in the world, for the manufacture of air conditioning systems for automobiles. The Company manufactures products for Engine Cooling and Climate Control System. It has an in-house design and development facility at its state-of-the-art Plant located in Pune and caters to the requirement of domestic OEMs like Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Eicher Motors, among others.
Camfil Farr Air Filtration India Limited is a leading name in Air Filtration. The Company caters to Gas Turbines, Clean Rooms, Railways, Compressors and Automotive Paint Shops, among others. The facility located in Gurgaon It has joint venture with Camfil Farr Power Systems AB, Sweden/USA. Camfil Farr Air Filtration India Limited is a supplier to both the domestic and export segments.
Chang Yun India Limited was established in collaboration with CY Myutec, Korea (earlier Chang Yun of Korea) for manufacture of Synchroniser rings for the automotive industry. The Company has two facilities located in Gurgaon. Currently, the Company manufactures Single cone & Multi cone synchronisers for passenger car application and has capability to supply rings with friction coated rings as per the customer requirements. Chang Yun India has state of art manufacturing facility complete with Forging presses & CNC turning centres, equipped with quality equipments like 3D co-ordinate measuring machine and contour tracer for the quality checks. Chang Yun India is a major supplier to Maruti Suzuki, Ford Motors India and Hyundai Motor India for the entire range of transmissions assembled by the passenger car manufacturers in India.
CY Myutec Automotive India Private Limited was established in 2008 in collaboration with CY Myutec, Korea (earlier Chang Yun of Korea) for manufacture of Synchroniser rings for the automotive industry. The Company is setting up a facility in Chennai. CY Myutec India will be a major supplier to Hyundai Motor India for the entire future range of transmissions assembled in India. It will also supply to General Motors India and other customers in the Southern region."
Degrémont Limited the Group's first diversification outside the automotive industry. A premier provider of sustainable water-related solutions and services, the Company was founded in 1986 in collaboration with Degrémont, a part Suez Environment France, world leader in Water and Waste Water Technologies. The Company specialises in providing processes and equipment and also constructs plants on a turnkey basis. The Company has constructed several water and waste water treatment plants in India. The recently commissioned Sonia Vihar plant, Delhi is India's largest drinking water treatment plant and will cater to the population of Delhi. Degrémont has also commissioned a 530 MLD Chembarbakkam project in Chennai, which is the second largest single stage plant in the country. The Company has been successfully working in Thailand, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Vietnam and Kazakhstan.
Faurecia Emission Control Technologies Limited was set-up in collaboration with ArvinMeritor, USA, who has now sold its emission technologies business to Faurecia Emission Control Technologies, France, which is the new joint venture partner. The Company manufactures Exhaust Systems including catalytic converters for the automobile industry, having two manufacturing facilities one in Chennai, and the other at Bangalore.
Federal-Mogul Bearings India Ltd, Gabriel's Engine Bearing division, which has been de-merged into a separate Company, has a facility, at Parwanoo. The Parwanoo facility is fully integrated for manufacturing a complete range of Bimetal Bearings, Bushes, Flanges and Thrust Washers and is equipped with a state-of-the-art 'Autoline'. The Company has been formed as a joint venture with Federal-Mogul Corporation, USA.
Gabriel India Limited, the flagship Company of Anand, was established in 1961, comprising of two divisions - Ride Control and Engine Bearings. The Company is a market leader for Ride Control Products with its brand 'Gabriel' being synonymous with Shock Absorbers. The Company has six plants, manufacturing the widest range of Shock Absorbers, Struts and Front Forks for supplies to virtually all OEMs and the Aftermarket. The Company was formed as a joint venture with Maremont Corporation, USA (now Gabriel Ride Control Products of ArvinMeritor Inc, USA). It also has technical collaboration with KYB Corporation, Yamaha Motor Hydraulic Systems Co., Japan and KYBSE, Spain. The Engine Bearing Division got de-merged into a separate Company in 2006 and is now known as Federal-Mogul Bearings India Ltd.
Haldex India Limited, established in 1998, manufactures Manual and Automatic Slack adjusters for Air Brakes of commercial vehicles. The Company has collaboration with Haldex AB of Sweden - world's No 1 in Auto Slack Adjusters. Haldex India has two state-of-the-art facilities at Nashik. The Company manufactures Self-setting Automatic brake adjusters for domestic market catering to OEMs such as Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Eicher Motors, while Manual Slack adjusters are manufactured both for domestic and export markets. Haldex India Limited has recently commenced production of Consep an air treatment product in Nashik, which is an EOU project.
Henkel Teroson India Limited was established in collaboration with Henkel Teroson GmbH, Germany. The Company has plants in Parwanoo (HP), Gurgaon, Pune and Chennai. A supplier to all OEMs in the automobile industry, the Company manufactures Adhesives, Automotive Sealants, coatings and NVH range of products. The range covers products for Weld shop, Paint shop and Trim shop with corresponding products for replacement market. Henkel Teroson India also has a Technical License with Sunrise MSI, Japan.
MAHLE Filter Systems India is a joint venture between MAHLE Group, Germany and Anand Automotive Limited. It is the largest manufacturer and exporter of air, oil, fuel and hydraulic filters for application in automotive, railways and aviation industries. In the Aftermarket, the Company markets its products under the brands MAHLE and Purolator. The Company makes substantial investments in R&D to develop media, new filter geometries, constructions and systems. It has three manufacturing locations at Parwanoo, Khandsa and Pune. MAHLE Filter Systems is also equipped with an ultra modern filter paper impregnation facility located in close proximity to the filter plant in Khandsa.
Mando India Limited was set up in collaboration with Mando Corporation, Korea, for the manufacture of state-of-the-art Brake Systems, strictly to Mando specifications. The Company's state-of-the-art facility is located at Chennai. It meets all Hydraulic brake requirements of Hyundai Motor India. It also has a Technical License agreement with Continental Teves of Germany for brake systems to meet the requirement of European and US-based car manufacturers like GM, Ford etc. The Company has also manufactures Shock Absorbers for Hyundai.
Perfect Circle India Limited manufactures Piston rings and Castings and is one of the major exporter of Piston rings in India with a reputation for superior quality and complete customer satisfaction. The Company is a major supplier to both the OE and Aftermarket segments. Its manufacturing facility in Nashik was set-up in financial and technical collaboration with Dana Corporation, USA. Dana Corporation. USA has now sold its Piston rings business to MAHLE Engine Components, USA, which is the new technical license partner.
Spicer India Limited was set up in collaboration with Dana Holding Corporation, USA to manufacture Axles, Driveshafts and Driveline components. The Company has facilities in Chakan, Satara, Jodalli, Hosur, Pantnagar and a 100% export-oriented unit at Hosur. Chakan and Jodalli plants also have exclusive EOU Cells catering to Dana Holding Corporation.
Takata India has been established as a joint venture between Anand Automotive Limited and Takata Corporation, Japan in 2008. The Company will manufacture Safety products -seat belts, air bags and steering wheels - for the new generation vehicles. The two state-of-the-art plants are under construction at Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Neemrana, Rajasthan.
Valeo Friction Materials India Limited was set up in collaboration with Valeo of France, a top manufacturer of Non-Asbestos Clutch Facings with the latest Valeo Technology. These environmentally friendly facings are free from Solvent, Lead, Ceramic & Aramid fibres. Its manufacturing facility is located at Chennai with state-of-the-art machineries. The Company is a major supplier to OEMs in the passenger vehicle, tractor, light & heavy trucks and 3 - wheelers through leading Clutch makers.
Victor Gaskets India Limited manufactures a wide range of gaskets for a variety of applications - automotive, agricultural, industrial, refrigeration and stationary engines. The Company has a state-of-the-art facility in Pune, also manufacturing eco-friendly, non-asbestos gaskets using ultraviolet technology. It has a technical license with Hamamatsu Gasket Corporation, Japan for Fluoroelastomer coating on stainless steel.
SNS Foundation is the CSR arm of Anand Automotive and is an NGO established in 1976. SNS Foundation has Community Development Centres where Anand has manufacturing bases. The development activities include those that support Govt. of India's programmes of 'Education for All' including those aimed at elimination of child labour with emphasis on education of the girl child, health and family welfare, HIV/AIDS, environmental issues, and vocational training to promote access to means of livelihood, especially for women.
